PREVIEW · ROUTING ENGINE

Drive time between cities

The full RoadRange trip planner is still in the workshop. In the meantime, take the routing engine it'll run on for a spin: search two places for the real-road driving time, distance, and route on the map.

Popular routes to try

Not sure where to start? Search any two US cities above — here are some long hauls road-trippers ask about most:

  • Dallas, TX → Destin, FL
  • Los Angeles, CA → Las Vegas, NV
  • Chicago, IL → Denver, CO
  • New York, NY → Miami, FL
  • Seattle, WA → San Francisco, CA
  • Atlanta, GA → Nashville, TN

Each result shows the real-road distance and driving time. For how much of a route like these you can cover in a day, see how far you can drive in a day.

A drive-time radius isn't a circle. Because real range follows roads, an hour reaches much further down an interstate than across a city or over a mountain pass, so the shape you can actually get to comes out lopsided — stretched along the highways, pinched everywhere else. Point-to-point routing is the first half of that; mapping the whole reachable area for the days you have is what RoadRange is being built to do.
